What Is Collected and How It Is Used
We collect only the data that we need. Only the below information is collected and processed:
- Name — First name and last name
- Email — Communiques to announce new literary works, offerings or services and newsletters, messages regarding the running of the enterprise e.g. changes to privacy policy etc. We never spam.
- Address — Readers who win a signed copy of any works will need to provide a postal address to receive such works.
- Marital Status — As may be determined by titles e.g. Mrs etc.
- Titles you’ve viewed that are available to download — we’ll use this to, for example, show you titles you’ve recently viewed.
- Location, IP address and browser type — we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
- Shipping address — we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping.
If you purchase from this site, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Set up your account for our store
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
- Improve our store offerings
- Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them
If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it.

Information Sharing
To gauge the effectiveness of the service we make use of Google Analytics by Google to assess which areas of the site or aspect of communications are proving effective or need improvement. We also make use of SendGrid — a professional email service provider — to distribute emails safely to ensure they are received by the recipients’ inboxes (instead of going into spam). SendGrid, a subsidiary of Twilio, have a privacy policy which is available here.
MailerLite is used for the sending of the aforementioned newsletters to for those who choose to receive them. Their privacy policy is available here.
In the interests of combatting spam in comments, this site makes use of automated spam detection service such as Akismet anti-spam service and involves the sharing of the following data: the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
If you request a password reset on this website, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
This website accept payments through Stripe, a payments provider. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe including information required to process or support the payment such as the purchase total and billing information.

For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our site. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

Information Retention
Your personal information is retained only as long you consent to it being kept. That is to say, in accordance with GDPR, you may be emailed periodically to refresh your consent. If in your response you ask for your details to be removed they will be deleted and a final email confirmation sent to you.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
